November 16th Thursday
donation would be from
Lady Young and not[word underlined] from him.

Dr. Nathan thinks S. Watson a little better,
and assures us its nothing infectious.
After the Matron (and all the inmates) had retired
hearing Sarah crying, she threw a shawl over
her, and went to see what was the matter.
the poor creature lay with her face buried in the
pillow, which she kept beating with her hand,
saying, as well as her stiff tongue could,
"O my soul, O my poor soul," she was exhorted to
lift up her heart in prayer to God, and asked to
repeat after her "God have mercy upon me a
sinner" "Look upon my affliction; and my
pain, and forgive all my sins" she promised
to try and remember these little prayers, and to repeat
them during the night, when she could not sleep.
All in the room had their attention arrested
by the solemn scene,
Susan Johnson said Sarah had asked them to give her
her boots, so that she could "go to prayers." "and I'll
take her tommor," its to be hoped this will be
a lesson to Susan, for she has often tried [word underlined] to absent
herself from prayers.
