Thursday. Deborah Hardcastle continues to conduct herself so well, & in addition to her daily employment, she works in the garden, cheerfully too. early in the morng.

Friday 10th

Saturday 11th

Sabbath 12th Mr W. Mills preached in the morng. Mr Ayton in the eveng.
all the inmates present (except S. Watson who is poorly) in number 34

Monday 13th. Had 7 of the girls working in the garden at 6 oclk morng as the ground was in such nice working order. but to our dismay, before we had been there 1/2 an hour found more that half the convolvus plucked up, instead of the weeds which were abounding close by. there is a great difference in the girls taste for gardening, it being a pleasure and recreation to some and a trouble to others.
