Teusday Received a box containing 13 dozn. oranges from Mrs J Thompson. one each was sent to them as they were finishing dinner. Sarah Farrington called to receive from the ladies a present of a Bible

23rd Cathn. Molloy was idle and quarrelsome in the laundry for which she was called to account, she promised not to do it again.
Thursday 24th Miss Little called with sewing and conversed about the inmates in whom she takes great interest. she promised us more work if we do this satisfactorly
Mr Winter called to beg we would "try Elizth. Strickland once [underscored] more". he said she was sitting in the adjoining
[paddoc?], in a most deplorable condition. Matron went with Mr Winter to see her, she owned that she did not deserve to be readmitted, but promised to be a good girl & never swear &c if we would take her, at last yielded to their importunity and allowed her to come back to the Refuge untill teusday when the ladies will decide what is best to do with her.
