Friday

Mr. Caldwell sent us 2 1/2 dozen cups and saucers
4 pint basin 24 dinner plates and 2 meat dishes.

Saturday
19th
The men have fixed the tank and put down drain pipes which will be a great comfort and convenience to us.

Sabth 20th

Mr. Mills preached in the morn, Rev. R .Blain afternoon and Mr. Pratt eve. Cath Molloy was very insolent to Ann Dunbar but on being called to account she consented to apologize and promised not to do so again

Monday 21st

Lady Young honored us with another visit and gave the 2 pounds previously promised. which money her ladyship gave strict charge that it was to be spent exclusively in making a garden. and proposed that the matron should ask Mrs. Hay for a few plants, or seeds, and send the messenger to Government house and we should have more banana trees &c if we could make room for them.
