Wedensday. [Wednesday] A Mrs Hare called to enquire if we had a girl suitable as general servant as she wanted one for her married daughter, in Bathurst, sent her to Mrs Goodlet to enquire if Elizth [Elizabeth] Thompson might go.

Thursday 29th Mrs Hare saw E.T. and offered 7/- pr week to
her for 6 months. and afterwards if she gives satisfaction, she will have 11/- pr week. It is the same situation which Mary Kennedy has filled with honour for 18 months!! although only engaged to stay 6 months. she is now going to be married. her mistress is very sorry to lose her Mrs H. says.

Saturday. We have had more washing to do this week The mesenger has delivered 6 letters ( with cards enclosed) to the Principal Ship Owners, asking for work, which it is to be hoped, we shall soon get.
