June 1st Elizth Thompson has been crying all morng. and then came to ask the Matron to give her her own clothes, so that she could go away [underscored]! Mrs Thos. Smith very providentially came and soothed her a little. her time is up the end of this month. it would be very desirable to send her far away up the country as soon as possible in order to encourage others to settle down with us. There's been a great deal of disatisfaction because M Lamb had remained so long without a situation. ML had after complained as Elizth does now.
