May 25th
Thursday. Margt Lamb, Sarah White and Nora O'Connor made there [their] escape during the night, Matron went in search of them before breakfast [inserted] when they were found.
M Lamb was asked why she went? "because I have been in 18 months and the ladies wont get me a place and they dont intend too [to]"
Sarah White "went because she heard crackers and fireworks"

Friday 26th Matron went to see Nora's mother and to inform her of her conduct, also to Sarah Whites parents, they were greatly distressed and wondered the ladies took such trouble & expence [expense] with such bad girls.
Saturday 27th Mr Baptiste sent a sugar bag full of vegetables which was duly acknowleged [acknowledged].

Sabbath 28th The inmates were all attentive and well behaved during service
Mr Mills Morng. Mr Roseby afternoon and Mr Pratt eveng.
