Dear Sir,
I recived your kind letter by Captn
Campbell, and thank your goodness for Seling
the pork, perhaps you herd the Sirkemstance by
Captn Burnitt that I and Mr Wilson Samuel
Henry & Pomare with a number of nativs was
Blon of to the luard ISlands in the Brig Metlda
Commanded by Captn Howlad (?) was nearly
three months before we arrived hear again.
It is agreat lost of time to us besides the lost of
Our Boat, though got but little Satesfaction
for it, I went of with the Boat at the Captns
Request when on the reef and we with the nativ
es did all that hd in our powr to get the vessell
of I belive if he had not got aney of our acistances
from the Shore that the Vessell could aben
Broken to pices, they had lost all their Boards and
greater part of the men before at Newcealland,
When Uncle sent the [unclear] he did not no what
