Most all of them wished they
were back again upon dry land
indeed a person that has never seen
a storm can have no idea of its
effects and I was so much the
worse just leaving port on Sunday
we had a fine and charming day I got
into the long boat & read almonst all
the day most of the passangers [passengers] were
able to creep upon deck - I do not
like the mother of the Vessel as
yet but have every cause to be
thankful I was not so ill as
expected and have
never as yet wished to be back
again on the 22 we had another very
sever gale it was also very cold I have
enjoyed but 3 or 4 comfortable days since
our departure
