of the Sailors) were sick the sea after
dark broke over her bows and roled
into the hatchway were [where] I now sleep
I kept the deck as long as I was able
after which I crept down into the dis-
pensary laid down on the boxes & threw
my Great Coat over me - about 9 O'Clock
at night one of the sailors brought
me a Tin of Tea I were hardly able
to hold the pot much less
sit up therefore put the Tea upon
the chest a longside of me the Vessel
was roling heavy away came my Tea
over my thigh instead of into my
mouth it was very hot yet not so
hot as to scald me You will here
be ready to say alass poor fellow
when I found the Tea had not rea-

creature I was - In this place I
laid all the night knocking from
one side to the other it was well
for me that I had been used to a
hard bed or my bones would have been
sore enough by the morning - next
morning the Docr [Doctor] made me rise &
lay in his bed were [where] I laid all the
day and all nights crept into my
old berth but laid my bed underneath
me of which I rolled & was more uncom
-fortable than before on Friday I got
to the Docrs [Doctor's] Bed & was upon deck about
½ an hour in the course of the day -
Tui & Tetare and Mr Moyes boy
were all ill therefore I had now
to afresh [?] me in a single thing on
Saturday I went forward to see
te passanger [passengers] who were all very ill
