I take this opportunity to Send a few lines to you hope
you ar [are] Wel [well]. I received the letters you Sent me, and am oblige [obliged]
to you for your kindness. I Should have Wrote [written] to you by the
Retrn [return] vessel but she saild [sailed] before I Expected. Uncle and
I [indecipherable] bilt [built] a snug house four roomes [rooms] two above and two below
[indecipherable] large boat &c. I do live With my uncle and aunt. they
ar [are] wel [well] and have got a fine Son six months old his name is James
We ar[are] So Comfortable her [here] as we Can Expect. Thank god I do
In Joy [enjoy] a good Steat [state] of health in this Contry [country]. I like this Contry [country]
better than I Expected I should. the people of Otaheite have mad [made]
peace with king Pomary [Pomare] and have Chared him back to Otaheite
again. I have ben [been] over Several times in our boat the people
behave very kind and Sivel [civil]. Dear Thomas. Uncle and I am
goin [going] to bild [build] a vessel. I have got a gret [great] deal of timber for it
