LOAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
TO EDUCATE COUNTY GIRLS

Funds are now available for loans
to girls who have the desired qualifications,
for use in completing their
education. And the rules and regulations
are here set forth, as laid
down by the offiical board of the
Montgomery County Federation of
Women's Clubs:

1. The Loan Scholarship Fund of
the Montgomery County Federation
of Women's clubs shall be known
as the Eliza Bennett Hartshorn
Memorial Loan Scholarship Fund
and shall be used to aid young
women students of the county desiring
a higher education.

2. This fund shall be under the
administration of the official board
of the Montogomery County Federation
of Women's Clubs.

3. The money shall be loaned
without interest while the student
is in training and for one year after
leaving school.

4. All applicants for the loan
must be residents of Montgomery
county and be graduates of a four -
year high school or must have the
equivalent of such a course.

All requests for loans must be
made by letter in the handwriting
of the applicant, four testimonials
being submitted with same: one
from the principal of the school
from which she was graduated: one
or more from teachers; one from
the pastor of a church; and one
from a federated club. The applicant
shall also present a cerificate
of good health from her physician.

6. The amount of the individual
loans shall be determined by the
official board, but not more than
$300 shall be loaned to any one person.

7. Full payment of this loan,
with legal rate of interest dating
from one year after time of leaving
school, shall be made within three
years of said leaving.

8. This fund shall be held by the
treasurer of the Montgomery County
Federation of Women's Clubs to
be administered by its official
board, and disbursements made under
its direction.

9. All applications shall be sent
to the president of Montgomery
County Federation of Women's
Clubs.
