Dear Mother & Daddy,

That little pink outfit arrived today, and
she's almost big enough to wear it. Thank
you very much for thinking of her. She's up
to 11lb now, eating cereal & fruit twice a day,
& vegetables for lunch. I have to get her
wardrobe out every couple of weeks & try the
smallest things on. In the space of two weeks
she grew in & out of two dresses Pat sent.
The big thing now is learning how to
crawl. She lies on her pad on the living-
room floor, & works, & works & works. She
can get up on her elbows, & then straightens
out her arms. Once in a while, one arm
slips, & she rolls over. If she doesn't bump
her head on the way over, she looks very
pleased with herself.

Enclosed are some snapshots from
the roll we just finished. She from 4 to 7
weeks old. Also enclosed is a note to Alice
thanking her for that toy, & a snapshot. She
lies and bats at the dong-gong until she
falls asleep. Her hands are becoming
quite active. She likes her cereal best when
she can stir it with one hand and wipe
her ears with the other.
