Dear Daddy,

This is being written on borrowed time,
as Eileen is awake & fussing, & will soon
begin to howl for her private dairy herd -
me. Mooo!

Thought you might like a couple of snapshots
to go with the 5x7 first-day shot we
sent you. Eileen is up to a weighty 9lb. 1oz as
of Mon. on the doctor's scale, & is getting more
photogenic all the time. We've got a pile of
35 mm. film that I got when I was working
for Kodak, that is so sensitive that it takes
the best pictures in the dark. The only catch
is that I had it wound up on 36 exposure
rolls, so it takes a while to get it out
of the camera.

Elsa mentioned that mother has
already left for Chicago. It doesn't look
much like you two will get up here together.
If you get tired of batching it, & if business
allows, come on up and take a
peek at your #1 grandaughter. Yesterday
she howled & fussed all day, & started
to chew on her hand. On investigation,
I found two suspicious little bumps
