HENRY CLAIR, Lessee.
New York, 18th of June 1881.
Mr. C. Van Buren,
Mayfield, Cala
Dear Sir, In few hours we will leave
New York, and before leaving
I wish to tell you once more good bye.
Impossible to find in New York
the Road Sulkys as required. I have
seen plenty of light ones, of any size
of any form of any style, but nothing
truly good, strong and substantial.
Every carriagemaker could
built according orders, but there are some
makers with patents, other ones with other
patents, and in fact I am not able to know
wich are the best.
In such circumstances, I will
advise you to consult our drivers and
Mr Covey or Mr Chase or any horseman
