Great would have bean our loss if
we had attacked their works
no fighting all day only by the
pickets, hold prayr in head
quarters

Monday 30 rose at 1 oclock in the morning
Started on march for the plank
road leading from Fredericks burgh to
Grasonville drew up
in line of battle about 8 oclock
cannonading commenced on our
right to Left Skirmishes by the
pickets. assisted
in preparing a hospital four
men wounded and got to the
hospital at 1 oclock we left again
on double quick
for the (__) we left in
the morning 2d Del came in as
we were going out my health
is good

Tuesday Dec 1st in Camp all day
all is quiet in the front no fighting
to day at 7 oclock the entire army
