Saterday 4th this day very pleasant
went down to the Rail Road
reproved a capt in the 4th Md
for profanity the manor in which
I done it was as follows he was in
conversation with a rebel prisoner
from South Carolina Their talk was
interesting to me until the capt
became profane I then went over
and took my Seat Soon the conversation
ended between the two and the capt
commenced prominading the plat
form walking past me. I called
him to me requested him to be
Seated I refered to his talk with
the rebel and told him it was
interesting to me until he commenced
swearing and then I left he was a
Stranger to me and I to him but
before we parted he learned who I
was I meet with him a few days
after he was polite as the cars
was coming in I missed my pocket
Book, and made hast to my
quarters my boy found it on
the floor it was safe Rheautism
very bad to night
