Saterday 28 terible stormy
this morning Snowing and
raining the Reg busy geting
ready to leave 1/2 Past 10 oclock
the Reg was called in line
poor fellows how I pitty them
See them standing in the rain
and cold heavy knapsack and
gun on their shoulders. The
Col mounts his horse, gives
the word in the midst of
cheer after cheer the (__)
of the rain falling in torrents
the Col advised me not to
go until the quarter master
left with the Stores there not
being waggons enough to carry
them Capt Cristie is also left
behind very unwell and a number
of others we received the information
this afternoon that Lieu Col Horn
was promoted to the Colency(?)
major McKellip to Lieu Col and
Capt Hill to the major ship
I moved my quarters this after
noon when the Col left.
I doe not like the actions
of the woman of the house
