FUNERAL OF A CHRISTIAN.

SCRIPTURE LESSONS.

Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are
not his days also like the days of a hireling? Job vii, 1.

When a few years are come, then I shall go the way
whence I shall not return. Job xvi, 22.

For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the
house appointed for all living. Job xxx, 23.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the
end of that man is peace. Psa. xxxvii, 37.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his
saints. Psa. cxvi, 15.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phil. i, 21.

For I am in a strait betwixt the two, having a desire to de-
part, and to be with Christ; which is far better. Phil. i, 23.
