To the Hon City Council of the City of Fort Worth

Gentlemen

I herewith return to your honorable body
without my approval the resolution passed at
your last session entrusting the Fort Worth
Street Railway Company to at once resume the
operation of its Samuels Avenue line, or to take up
it track between certain points designated in
said resolution, for the following reason
to wit

1st Because the said resolution was adopted
too bastily and without due consideration
for the rights of the citizens living along the
line of said street Railway.

2nd- A number of interested citizens have requested
the mayor to veto said resolution in order that
they may have a chance to present their
views to the council.
