Edith Hallowell was asked to tell us how she
gathers, now, about half as many eggs as she has
hens, - she feeds steamed oats & alfalfa mixed,
with satisfactory results in cold weather.

We had acceptable messages of love from
Estelle T. Moore, Mary G. Colt and Janie S.
Taliaferro. India Downey read an interesting
article upon the wonders of the Panama Exposition.
At former Shows we saw tables of fine fruit,
in San Francisco it will be exhibited upon trees
from the best orchards on the Pacific Coast.
“The Painted Desert” section is a reproduction
of Indian life never so well depicted before,
and a complete cliff swelling is added. A
model Farm has not only fine crops growing,
but all sorts of farm machinery in operation,
and an aviary already shelters 300 birds.

India Downey announced she had not yet
collected all the cash needed or dues to the Co
Fed. of Clubs. This brought out a resolution
passed unanimously, to constitute our present
collector a Treasurer and request each member
to pay 75 cts., so that we shall be able to buy a
new book and have the minutes copied, - 2 yrs.
records being now ready.

Mary E. Thomas was confirmed in her
appointment of Ex. Member for the Co. Fed. and
asked to convey the wishes of the Asso
for a cleaner and healthier kind of side
show at our Co. Fair in future. Good moving
pictures, a bowling alley, and a pageant of
Md. History, were suggested substitutes.

Sarah T. Miller said she had spent a good
deal of time in selecting her contributions to our
store of wit and wisdom, and then lost the clipping.
“Bonnet strings” seem to be missed greatly in this
century! She however gave us something to
think of in a plea for “less supper-room
and more upper-room” in the church of to-day.
