18 Light S. east wind these 24 hours with light rain showers - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.80 to 29.75 - Keeper working on quarterly reports to Inspector and Engineer.

19 Fresh breeze to gale S. to S.W. rain - Sea rough - Barometer 29.68 to 29.78 - General duties for day - Keeper working on quarterly reports - 1st asst takeing covers off coal oil cases.

20 Fresh breeze to light S. west wind these 24 hours with rain - Sea very rough - General duties for day - Keeper went to Newport after mail - Barometer 29.75 to 30.12.

21 Light south wind these 24 hours with rain showers - Sea rough - Barometer 30.12 to 30.22 - General duties for day - Keeper working on reports - 2nd asst working in barn.

27 Light north to variable winds these 24 hours with fair and cool weather - Sea quite smooth - General duties for day - 1st asst went fishing - Barometer 30.30 to 30.20 -Keeper and assts putting 200 gallons of oil in oil butts.
