With reference to my Reports of the 10th Ulto
of the conviction before the Magistrates at Leaven, for
illegally removing from the sea shore certain Droits of
Tallow - of William Danby

Francis Smith
John Smith and
Robert Frankish

Also of James Parker
Thomas Page and
William Green
Annexed is my crave for Travelling and subsistence on the
8th Ulto amounting to £2 " 2 . 8 - which I have been apportioned to
the above prosecutions to each a moeity - as per statement of
expenses - also annexed. I also annex this Bill of Costs of the
Magistrates Clerk, accounting to £8 . 3 . 0 which I have likewise
apportioned to each case. The expenses are therefore thus

The expenses in the case of Parker and others were increased
in consequence of Mr Catchpole - my Inspector of River, and
Mr Davis Tide - Surveyor having to go to Great Cowden, a distance
of 18 miles, - to search out Parker, Page and Green, - and
