of the firm of Messrs Robt & H Foster purchased the
C 5 . 3 0 Tallow in question from Mr Statters Carrier.
When he did so he inquired of Mr Statters where it came
from, who replied that it was wreck tallow. He then
inquired whether the Lord of the Manor had any claim

further inquiries - but purchased the same - and

looked out for the carrier from whom he purchased
it the next market day - as his name was not known
to him - His conduct throughout - since my Officers
called upon him - has been in every respect satisfactory
in enabling me to convict the wreckers.
