I beg to acquaint you that the Wreck
of the "Branford"lies on the sand at Patrington
Channel Horse - in about five fathoms of
Water - and as several Wreckers have
of late being takeing her cargo - which
consists of Rail Road Iron - without
conveying the same to the Receiver
of Wrecks for the district I have to request
that you will not allow any men
to work at the said Wreck in future without
a written authority from Mr Saxelbye

Since I saw you this morning I have
demmed it necessary to write to Lt. Poynter
of Patrington not to allow any one to work at
the Wreck of the "Branford" in Patrington
Bay, without a written permission
from Mr Saxelbye the Receiver of Wreck
for the district or myself.- I have also
directed that a Buoy be placed over the Wreck.
