I enclose a claim from Messrs Bramble
for anchor & chn-148/1854 as I am unable to
determine the amount of Rent due - and
know not the amount of Salvage claimed
by John Wallis the finder. I have referred
them to you - To enable you to adjust the
matter I also enclose your account of anchors & C in the admiralty yard -
Mr Shacklock - who is here for Surgical
advice is getting better and will be at
Bridlington in a few Days In the mean oblige
by furnishing particulars to yours truly

With Messrs Brambles claim there is a letter from
Mr John Kennedy which must be answered
to their Declaration, and which as the
form shows, must be made before a
magistrate J. S. at what periods of the year was your father
in the habit of having sales when I took the account & sheets from you
I enclose two sheets which are exact copies of your Book, the Board of Trade desired
me to have a sale immedialety after the 7th June next which would clear
off all the old stock, Mr Shacklock who is here for advice,- wishes
to have a sale now, or in the course of a month,- which
would then leave some few things on hand to be accounted
for -[The] He says the Salvors want a Sale- what has hitherto

With reference to the answered letter from the
Solicitor of Customs in which I am informed
that the Bond in respect of the Salvage of the Vessel,
" Arva" was incorrectly prepared, the word
Expenses being used therein -- as that Bond
