I have the honour to acknowledge
the receipt of your note of the 5th Inst acquainting
me that you claim Manorial rights over
that part of the coast which near to Fraisthorpe
Wilsthorpe & Auburn

On reference to the map I find
Wilsthorpe is near Bessingby & that Fraisthorpe
is considerably South thereof, I will therefore
thank you to inform me whether the two
miles of coast over which you claim manorial
right is situated between those two places
I will also thank you to furnish me with
the date of grant or other authority by which
you claim to exercise these Manorial rights
which you have omitted to supply in your note already received -

Trustee to the late Harrington Hudson Esq
of Bessingby, near Bridlington but he
has referred me to you

I wonder whether the placename in the last paragraph (?) was actually Saundby where he was Rector from 1851 onwards. It may have been mistakenly written as Sumbaly.
