April 6: Propeller and finaly drifted inside of bay and went ashore on sand spit on south side near jetty warf. The steamers Jolanta (???) got a line hitched to her but brook. The barometer down to 29.14 but is going up.

7: Moderate breeze N.W. to light variable winds there 24 hours with frequent rail and hail squalls. Last part of 24 hours fair weather. Sea smooth. General duties for day. Keeper returned to station at 11 A.M. 1st went fishing. Had one visitor.

8: Light N. West to S.E. and South wind there 24 hour with fair weather but cool. Sea very smooth. General duties for the day. 1st ast. went fishing today. The barometer is going down at 4 P.M.

9: Fresh to strong breeze S.E. to South first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light S.W. to W.N.W. with rain and hail showers. Sea moderately smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper went fishing. Had three visitors today.

10: Light W. to S.W. and S.East first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 fresh breeze. S.W. with frequent rain showers during 24 hours. Sea little rough. General duties for day. Keeper and 1st asst. cleaning and polishing chimney in oil room. Keeper went fishing.

11: Moderate to fresh breeze S.W. to W.N. West there 24 hours with frequent rain and hail squalls during first part of 24 hours last part of 24 hours moderately fair weather. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Keeper and 2nd asst went to went to Newport.

12: Fresh to strong breeze first part of 24 hours with frequent rail and hail squalls. Last part of 24 hours fresh to moderate breeze west with frequent light rain showers. Sea quite rough. General duties for day. Had one visitor. The barometer is up to 50.10.

13: Light wind W. S. with light rain showers first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate and fresh breeze to gale. S. SW. and West with rain. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Changed to burner in illuminating (???). The barometer is 30.5 at 5 P.M.

14: Fresh to moderate breeze. West with rain and hail squalls first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds fair weather. Sea rough. General duties for day. Keeper hanging aller (???) door on 2nd asst. side of dwelling. 1st asst went to Newport.

15: Light variable winds and calm first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze. N.West with fair but cool weather. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper and 2nd asst went to Newport to pay taxes.

16: Moderate breeze N.W. to S. East and South wind first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours. Light N. West wind rain most of the 24 hours. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. The U.S. Light House tender Columbine passed the Light at 6 P.M. going north on her way to Portland.

17: Light variable winds first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze S.W. and West with frequent light rain showers. Sea smooth. Keeper and 2nd asst putting boards under the barn. 1st asst went fishing. Steamer Willamette Valley crossed bar today from (???).

18: Light S. West to S. East wind with light rain showers first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze and gale S. to S. W. with rain. Sea quite smooth. 2nd asst went to Newport. Keeper went fishing and mad out requisition for supplier. 1st asst went

19: Moderat breeze to light South wind first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light wind to moderate breeze South with rain most of 24 hours. Sea very smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper and 1st asst went fishing. The Oregon Pacific railroad tug pulled the Alac Blanchard off the sand spit the 17th at about 11 P.M.

20: Strong to fresh breeze South there 24 hours first part of 24 hours rain showers. Last part of 24 hours cloudy and little damp. Sea smooth. General duties for day. Keeper and 1st asst went fishing. 1st asst went to Newport after supplier left the station at 10 A.M. Steam Willamette Valley sailed today for San Francisco at 10 A.M.

21: Light S. West to S. East wind cloudy but dry weather first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable wind to moderate breeze South light rain showers. Sea smooth. Keeper went fishing. 1st asst returned to station at 10 A.M.
