7 Had twenty two visitors - Keeper and Mr. Isaac L. Smith went to Newport.

8 Light variable wind and calm first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N.W. wind fair weather during 24 hours - Sea very smooth - General duties for day - Keeper & Mr. Smith went up North - beach.

9 Light variable winds these 24 hours first part of 24 hours clear weather - Last part of 24 hours cloudy but dry and very warm - Sea very smooth - General duties for day - 1st asst & Mr. Smith went fishing - 1st also went to Newport.

10 Moderate breeze South with light rain showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds and calm fair weather - Sea smooth - 1st asst showing visitors in tower - Keeper & Mr. I.L. Smith went to Newport.

11 Light N.W. wind with frequent fog showers - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds and calm little damp. - Sea smooth - General duties for day. Had two visitors today - Keeper & Mr. I.L. Smith went to Newport.

12 Light variable winds first part of 24 hours cloudy but dry - Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Sea very smooth - Keepers showing visitors in tower - General duties for day - Had twelve visitors

14 Moderate N.W. wind fair weather these 24 hours - Sea very smooth - 1st asst cutting thistle from the yard - Had 12 visitors - General duties for day - Keeper went to Newport on business - Left the station at 1 P.M.

15 Moderate and light N.W. wind first part of 24 hours with fog - Last part of 24 hours light to moderate and fresh breeze N.W. clear fine weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Had 14 visitors - Keeper returned to the station at 11 A.M.

16 Fresh breeze to moderate and light N.W. wind with thick damp fog during 24 hours - Sea very smooth. General duties for the day - Had 9 visitors. Keeper and Mr. I.L. Smith went to Newport.

17 Light N.W. wind and calm these 24 hours first part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours heigh dry fog - Sea smooth - 1st asst cutting weeds from around dwelling - Had 6 visitors - General duties for day.

18 Light N.W. wind and calm with thick damp fog first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - 1st asst cutting grass & weeds around dwelling. Also showing visitors in tower - Had seven visitors today - Keeper and Mr. Isaac L. Smith went to Newport today.

19 Light N. West wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours little cloudy but dry - Last part of 24 hours clear fine and warm weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for day - Had 6 visitors today.

20 Moderate and fresh breeze N.W. these 24 hours fair weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Had fourteen visitors today - Keeper went to Newport on business - Left the station at 8 A.M.

21 Moderate and fresh breeze N.W. with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea very smooth. General duties for the day - Had 26 visitors. Keeper returned to the station at 11 A.M.

22 Fresh to moderate breeze to light N.W. wind these 24 hours fair weather during 24 hours - Sea smooth - 1st asst went to Newport - Mr. Smith went hunting - Keeper & 1st asst putting hay in barn - Had thirty visitors.

23 Light variable winds and calm with clear fine weather first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light to moderate breeze South thick damp fog - Sea smooth - Mr. Smith went to Newport. - Had 23 visitors today.

Head Keeper - Frank Plummer, First Assistant -Edward Rice, *Laborer - Isaac L. Smith *Note the position of Isaac L. Smith was "Laborer" until he was official hired and sworn in as "Second Assistant keeper" in November 1891. From June 1890 to November 1891 the position of 2nd Assistant keeper (which required a "trained" keeper to operate the lamp) remained unfilled.
