A good day. We all staid at
home all the morning then
Ben & the children and Mrs
Car went to Jim [Powers?].
Alice Thomson and Kate
Hubbard & Christenia Reynols
come. Alice brought Josie
a box of figs. Christenia
brought some [ice?]. Carrie
& her children come. Jim
was with them and went
back with them.
Josie has not suffered so
much to day. I hope
she may sleep tonight.
Carrie brought Josie a
box of grapes.
