The intake temperature of the disk heat
exchanger is 89.5°F (should be 90°F). The output
temperature is 65°F (should be 65°F). The heat
exchanger water flow is 1.5 gal/min., which is
also normal. Everything appears normal on the
water chiller; i.e.; the vanes are almost closed,
the blower is running, and its heat exchanger fins
appea un-cloged.

The thermostat for the water chiller alarm
is set at 50°F. The temperature of the chiller
water was determined by decreasing the thermostat
setting until the chiller alarm went on. T=47°F.
I looked thru the Librascope Logbook to find out
what the normal chiller water temperature should be,
and where the thermostat should be set. There are
two references: p age 19 (10-13-67) and page 52 (1-30-68).
The pertinent information is shown below:

From Pg. 52 (1-30-58)

1200 Chiller now runs @ 49°F ± .25°F

opened Robert/Shaw valve 1 position = 91°F

1415 Read error [?]

1430 Opened valve second position = 3 [?] = [?]°F

At 1130 the chiller alarm went on again. The
water temperature was checked and found to be 50°F.
Also B.P. was sitting in front of the vanes of the
chiller. The temperature did not drop after he moved
