Replaced head on Lower right Dec Tape
Transport over counsel. (DTA4) Intermittant errors due
To low output on he[n?]d. Suspect one of dual
channels Defective. Cichon ≠ Griffin

Removed [scoldilite?] from DTA1.
Tested DTA3 & 4 after replacement
of DTA4 head it runs fine with
resister plugs. Tested noise sensitivity
and found that only DTA6 causes
errors when DTA4 is running with
resistor plugs. Did not test DTA2 noise
generation, but tested all others.

III turned power on as usual;
but 1) Turned off UA in both ampex
boxes

2) Scattered random bits
in DEC core

PRINTS BETTER ERROR MESSAGES (ALTHOUGH
WFNW ABSCENITY STILL THERE); MORE INFORMATIVE
EXIT MESSAGE.
