Tested 545 Mag Tape Transport after replacing
the vacuum motor and its rubber pad. (The armature
was chewed up because the brushes hadn't been
checked. Also the rubber pad that supports the
vacuum motor had disintegrated.) We also adjusted
the pinch rollers because the "Forward" pinch
roller was slipping. The MAGTST on the 545
immediately failed as shown below:
