1240 We have spent the morning running tests and
making adjustments on the DECTAPES in response to
the DECTAPE Errors that have been observed during
this past week. In particular we ran "DCTEST",
"UTEST" (on each of the DTA Drives), "EXDATA", and the
"Manchester Reader/Writer check". After making the
adjustments on the 5-4523 modules according to the instructions
on pg. 6-7 of the 551 manual, we ran +10 V margins on
551-1A. They are +5 V and +18 V (max). THe adjustment
range on the pots in the 4523 modules is ±3/4 to
1 turn on each side of the center point. This means
that there are no steps on the square wave over the
full adjustment range of 1 1/2 to 2 turns.

problems that exist are that it needs cleaning
and a new ribbon.
