Friday. March 5th Bright overhead, but the walking was very bad. In the afternoon Carrie and I made a lon call on Kate Hudson. Found Helen Stearns at our hourse on our return. Prayer meeting at our house in the eveing. Mr. Murphy came over in the afternoon. He conducted the meeting.
Saturday. Very pleasant. Was not very well. Mary Reeve called in the afternoon. She returned from teh country on Wednesday. It was a happy meeting on both sides, and indeed I was glad to see her again for I have missed her very much.
Sunday March 7th. Last night I had a very singular dream which made a deep impression on my mind, perhaps the more so as it is very seldom that I dream at all or can remember a dream after awaking. But of this one I have as clear and distinct a recollection as if were a reality. -- I was at church and the choir were singing most sweetly. It was a strange church; I had never been there before and though the place was full I saw there no familiar faces; but I thought of nothing, but that enchanting music, -- so sweet, so unearthly did it sound that I was overpowered and burying my face in my handkerchief I wept. Capitalization: Maintain original
Punctuation: Add modern periods, but don't add punctuation like commas and apostrophes.
Deletions: Deleted characters and words are tagged with "strike" and then displayed with the line through them.
Symbols: For apothecary and alchemical symbols, use these symbols followed by the meaning of the symbol in brackets: Rx [recipe]; ℈ [scruple]; ʒ [dram]; ʒs [half dram]; ℥ [ounce]; ℥s [half ounce]; ℔ [pound].
For roman numerals following symbols that indicate amount, i.e., j=1, ij=2, iij= 3, v=5, type arabic numeral in brackets following roman numeral: i [1], ii [2], iii [3], v [5].
Line Breaks: Hit return once after each line ends. Two returns indicate a new paragraph, which is usually indentation following the preceding sentence in the original. The times at the end of each entry should get their own paragraph, since the software does not support indentation in the transcriptions.
Illegible text: Indicate illegible readings in single square brackets: [Dr?]
A single newline indicates a line-break in the original document, and will not appear as a break in the text in some views or exports. Two newlines indicate a paragraph, and will appear as a paragraph break in all views.
