1964. Sun. Ken & I to church. Rain. All to Pioneer Village. Dinner at Augusta Thiem's. Ken & Hugh left. Heavy wind.

1965. Mon. Seljuk - church of St John. Ephesus - vast site, theatre, library, churches, long marble street of temples & monuments

1966. Tues. Wrote letters, had my hair done, to bank. Walked in park. Lovely weather. Pink almond, pink rose hawthorne, tulips mauve & white rock plants.

1967. Wed. To Cardwells to get shoes. Wrote article for Observer. Cut out 2 dresses for Mary. To bank.

1968. Fri. Crete. bus to Knossus. very hot, got off bus in Heraklion & walked to ship. had my hair done in Ankara salon
