[???], pp. xvi+244, xx+324) of the eminent botanist, theologian, librarian, microscopist, and historian Jean Senebier and the modest but truly admirable and original Methods of Mind Training by Catherine Aiken, and not, as is usual, as an appendix to logic, it then becomes par excellence the science ministrant to curiosity and the Gnostic Instinct.

Sciences of Utility.

When we have eliminated from the entire list of Practical Sciences all the above Sciences of Gratification there remains a mass, confused enough, but less desperately so than it appeared at the outset. All the moral practical sciences have been cleared away and the residue have more or less relation
