To CBC to learn to write radio script. To dentist and had front tooth drilled. My violets covered with flowers.

Car broke down. Shopped.

To B. Franklin hotel, Interesting sessions. To Independence Hall, Dinner, saw Anne Beyanson, Willits, Gouderich, Mac Iver's, Homer Thomson's, etc.

Sat.
Harold died peacefully about 8. Donald and Hugh phoned Mary, Elliott Kennedy and many people, wired. Creighton here all day to help us. [Jeannette], Gordon, Duffs, Barb Smith, Clarke, Lois here . To [Miles]

Snowing and wet. Anne had friends here to play records. Hugh out. I wrote letters and sorted papers.
