Hot. To war surplus to get Hugh sports shirts. Men puting up new sporting. Water pipe burst, flood in cellar. Mary sick.

Sat.
Baked cake. Anne at tennis all day. Harold working in bed. Hugh's results.

Sun.
Very warm. Listened to radio, read and wrote letters. 2 Annes and Peter[ Williamson] finger painting.

1952
Tues.
Mrs. Hobson ironing, Miss Hofrichter taking dictation. Anne win 2 matches in interchurch tournament.

1953
Wed.
Anne at home. She ironed, I cleaned and to village to shop. Very warm.
