Last sessions. Reception at Rideau Hall and saw gardens. To[Buqu's] in Hull for dinner. Jo, Margaret and I left for home.

Harold and I left on train for Kingston to Royal [Society] . At [Royal Military College] Dinner with Donald and V. Bladen on train.

Mon.
Washed. Raining. Oil burner cleaned. Anne Bezanson here for tea and she, Harold , Hugh and I to King Edward for dinner. Very nice. Put her on train.

1952
Jane Ward here to take dictation. Ashley came. I to bank. Harold reading proofs of Don's " Sir John A. [Macdonald]." Anne at tennis. Hugh cut grass.

1953
Thurs.
To bank and library, shopping. Heavy rain. Mr. [Buckelfield] here to talk over investing money. Hugh and Anne out.
