Downtown shopping. Much cooler. Made white blouse for Anne, weeded garden. Lilac pull out - gorgeous.

Sat.
Lovely day but cool.Raked leaves and planted lettuce. Anne playing tennis.

Sun.
Very warm, sat in garden all afternoon. Wrote letters. Reading life of Fremont. Hugh and Anne out.

1952
Tues.
With Harold all day. Raining, dull. Mrs. Ward came to take letters. Doris, Hughena, Sam and Dick. Went downtown and got blouse and dress.

Wed. Had my hair done. Lovely day, lilac and tulips out. Shopped, typed. Hugh and Anne out. Wrote letters,
