I in bed most of day.. All so good to me. Reading Sitwell's " Brighton." Got up for supper.

Washed - washer broke down. To store. Rain. Wrote to Mary.

Tue.
Harold, Hugh and Anne all met me. Very good to see them. Trees and flowers all out, very warm. Washed, unpacked and wrote to Donald and Mary.

Thur.
Harold very miserable all day. Anne and Hugh came down for dinner. Hugh studying.

1953
I started editorial job on Harold's [manuscripts]. Hugh got job at beer warehouse. Kemp took me for a drive and to their house and [Auerys.]
