1949
Baked my cake, had my hair done. Lovely party, they gave me gold pen, beautiful book of paintings, lipstick etc.

1950
Handkerchief from Mary.Luella came up. Dinner for Fauchet's at Park Plaza and Creightson's there, came here afterward.

1951
To bank and Hugh and I to shop. Showers off and on. Baked my cake. Packed and wrote letters. Left for Chicago at 10.

1952
Easter. Cold and heavy rain. They gave me daffodils, N. Yer stories and wonderful record player and records. Played them. Kemp's came in. Harold feeling better. Anne and I to church.

1953
Got early train for Toronto. Anne cooked lovely chicken dinner and angel cake. Anne and Hugh gave me beautiful pen, Luella a lipstick and Donald book on heraldry.
