2. TASK.
The task of the Battalion was to capture the DROCOURT-QUEANT
LINE in P.26.c. and d., P.27.c. and the END OBJECTIVE being the
Sunken Road in P.28.c. which ran from VILLERS DES CAGNICOURT to DURY.
At this point at Zero plus 3 hours, the 72nd Bn. on the right and the
11th C.I.Bde. on the left were to pass through our objective and
advance to a further objective in V.6.b. and P.36.d. The 38th Bn.
with the 72nd Bn. on the right were again in turn to leapfrog the 78th
Bn. and capture the Objective West of the CANAL DU NORD from the
CAMBRAI ROAD to Q.33.b.50.00.

3. ASSEMBLY.
The assembly of the Battalion was carried out under certain
difficulties owing to the impossibility of proper reconnaissence.
However, at Zero minus 45 minutes, the Battalion had assembled in
P.25.c. with "A" Company on the right and "B" Company on the left, as
loading Companies, supported by "C" and "D" Company respectively, in
touch with the Battalion on our right but several hundred yards in
advance of the Battalion on our left. All arrangements were completed
at Zero minus 30, and without casualties.
