38TH CANADIAN INFANTRY BATTALION OPERATION ORDER NO.33.

REFERENCE MAP - SHEET 51 B. N.W.

1. The 38th Canadian Inf. Bn. will be relieved by the 78th Canadian
Inf. Bn. in the left Sub-Section, FAMPOUXSECTION, on the night of
July 25th/26th, 1918. Relief will commence at 8.30 P.M.

On conclusion of relief, 38th Canadian Inf. Bn. will be in
Divisional Reserve, taking over the dispositions of the 85th Canadian
Inf. Bn.

2. CAM AVENUE COMMUNICATION TRENCH is allotted to the 72nd and
85th Battalions on the night of relief. All movement until 10.00 P.M.
will be confirmed strictly to the trenches.

3. Trench Stores and Aeroplane Photographs will be handed over.
Maps with NOT be handed over.

4. All details of relief, guides, etc. will be arranged direct
between the units concerned.

5. As many water tins as possible will be salvaged and as large
a number of tins taken out as possible.

6. Companies will detail an advance party of 1 Officer, 1 N.C.O,
and 2 other ranks to proceed to the new billeting area on the
afternoonof the 25th inst.

7. Disposition report and statement of reserve rations and trench
stores taken over, and trench stores handed over to be handed into
Bn. Orderly Room by 7 a.m. 26th inst. Receipts for reserve rations
handed over will be taken in duplicate and forwarded to the Bn.
Orderly Room by 7 a.m. 26th inst.

8. The Officer accompanying each Company's advance party will be
responsible for rations until taken over by company ration parties
after relief.

9. Completion of relief will be wired to Bn. H.Q. using the code word "CANARY".
