LOZINGHEM 1918 June 17
Sometime through the previous night, the Huns bombed
villages in our area. There were two military casualties
in AUCHEL and some material damage caused. Company
training was carried on and special work done by the
Lewis Gunners, Signallers and Scouts. Brigade Orders
of this date contained the following .
631. Command. Lt. Colonel H.C. SPARLING, D.S.O. 1st
Quebec Regiment, assumes temporary command of the
38th Can. In. Bn. 16-6-18. vice Lt. Col. C.M. EDWARDS,
D.S.O. on leave to United Kingdom.
The points obtained in Brigade Guard Competition
for week ending 15-6-18. are as follow.
38th Bn 40 pts. 72nd Bn. 41 pts. 78th Bn. 42 pts. 85th Bn. 44 pts.
Weather - Fine. RBO'S

do 18 Batt. carrying on training. Weather. Light showers. RBO'S

do 19 Batt. carrying on training and sports in afternoon.
Weather :- turned much colder. RBO'S

do 20 Batt. carrying on training & sports. Weather - Fair. RBO'S

do 21 Batt. carryin on training & sports. Weather - Fine. RBO'S

do 22 Capt. Megloughlin M.C. rejoined Batt. Weather fine for
training and sports. RBO'S
