LOZINGHEM 1918 June 10 cont.
In afternoon, with the men gathered around
the football field & rooting for their teams, Fritz
obervation balloons evidently spotted the crowd,
as he sent two shells to the immediate vicinity.
One proved to be a "dud." There were not any
casualties. Weather fine. RBO'S

do 11 Elimination contests, between the boxers of the 38th and
85th Batts, were held in the forenoon, and we won
the 115 lb and 158 lb classes. Other athletic events
were held throughout the day and the 38th Officers
won against 12th Bde Officers in indoor baseball.
Weather - cold in early morn but fine throughout day. RBO'S

do 12 Batt. under command of Lieut Col. Edwards D.S.O., C.O,
marched to FERFAY while the Brigade Sports were
being held. Location was B.19.b.9.4. and an ad-
mirable selection was made, the Play Grounds &
surrounding scenery arousing favourable com-
ments. The representatives of the 38th on the Bde
Committee were . Major Olver, Capt. O'Sullivan,
Lieuts. Johnston, Stalker, & Adams.
