LOZINGHEM June 1.
Batt. in LOZINGHEM, as per Oper. Order No 28 - of 24 May 18.
Batt carrying on syllabus of training specially adapt-
ed for open warfare and it appeals to the men.
Time each day also devoted to athletic games. Vici-
nity shelled & bombed. AUCHEL suffered some materi-
al loss. but casualties were limited to the wounding
of the Brigadier General's horse.
Weather - very hot. great for training. RBO'S

do 2 Brigade Orders of this date state "Temp. Lieut. R.C.
Geddes to be actg. Captain." and "Lieut (A/Capt)
G.A. Johnson, "relinquishes rank on ceasing to
command a coy." A few civilians moved out
as result of last & preious nights' bombing. Church
Paraded held. Weather hot. RBO'S

do 3 Batt. carrying on training. Huns quiet. Weather hot. RBO'S

do 4 Batt. trained at BOIS des DAMES Ranges. Special
attention given to backward shots. Platoons & Com-
panies practiced open warfare, and specialties received
particular attention Weather warm by cloudy. RBO'S

do 5 Enemy left our rear areas quiet. Batt. training.
Weather :- Hot. RBO'S
