FRONT LINE Ap 28 cont
Can. Inf. Batt. in the Right Sub-section, ARIEUX SEC-
TION on the night of the 28th/29th April: On completion
of relief, the 38th will pass into Brigade Reserve, taking
over the dispositions of the 85th Batt. Disposition:-
"D" Co. at B.8.b.70.20. "A" Co at B.2.b.65.10.
"B" Co at T.22.c.70.33. "C" Co at B.3.c.70.70.
Batt. H.Q. will be at approximately T.26.d.30.20.
Weather:- Cold foggy morn. Cleared about noon &
Hun plane cavorted at low altitude in rear area.
Everything but the Kitchen stove was fired at him
but he carried out his work with undisturbed
equanimity and went home. Our people put
on a heavy strafe between 9 and 10 pm. RBO'S

Brigade Reserve 29 Objects of recent raid were attained - identification
also being secured. Casualties:- 5. OR. killed
and 2 Officers and 15 OR wounded. Newspaper
reports of the fighting at Mont Kemmil and
Locre aroused great interest among the Officers
and men of the Batt. who were located in that
area in the fall of 1916. Weather:- dull day,
with heavy showers in early evening & thro' the night. RBO'S
