Party no 3. Lieut. J.D. ADAMS O.C. and 29 OR.
Party no. 4. Lieut. E.T. MENNIE and 29 OR.
The purpose of the raid was to cause casualties to the enemy
and lower his morale, gain identification and destroy
dugouts and trench mortar emplacements.
During the day, (6. am to 6.00 pm) Hostile artillery was
active, especially on the right front and ground in ad-
vance of F.L. Trench. A large percentage of hostile
shelling continues to be "Duds" . Our 18 pdrs and
Howitzers were active this afternoon with good effects.
A soccer match was played in the evening between
teams representing the 38th and 85th Transport Lines.
The 38th winning with a score of 2-1.
Weather :- A lowering sky thro' the day & low visibility. RBO'S

do 26 Hostile shelling was normal. Enemy showed con-
siderable movement. Our snipers have compelled
the enemy to become much more cautious in his
movements about ARLEUX TRENCH.
Major ENGLISH arrived at Transport Lines at noon.
In the evening Transport soccer team played to a tie
with the 78th 2-2. Weather :- wet with low visibility. RBO'S
